Luminnate was sparked into existence by the dynamic partnership of Dr. Donald Francis and Laurie Coburn – a powerhouse duo who have built two thriving practices in the Scottish Borders with a 5-star Team and a vibrant community of clients. Now, they're channelling that success into revolutionary Chiropractic education, on a mission to Enlighten, Empower, and Evolve the chiropractic profession, one practice at a time.

Chiropractor & Practice Owner
Donald owns and runs two associate based practices in the Scottish Borders as well as teaching technique and mentoring Chiropractors through Luminnate. He teaches Brain Based Chiropractic by Donald which is the technique system and thought process he has developed which is delivering extraordinary results.
A 2009 graduate of Palmer College in Davenport Iowa and a former Army Officer, Donald has grown steadily to appreciate Chiropractic in its purest form, the detection and correction of subluxations. Driven by results and a desire to see a healthier, happier, more fulfilled and more connected community he has built an enormous practice where he inspires a greater vision for the future of everyone he touches.
Donald has a firm belief that if he can build an enormous practice in rural Scotland then anyone can do it anywhere if they deliver chiropractic honestly, authentically and with a higher vision for a better humanity.
He edited and compiled the book The Wisdom of 33 and is a strong supporter of the vision and delivery of the Scotland College of Chiropractic. He believes Chiropractic is a philosophy with a Science and Art, and the future of Chiropractic as a separate and distinct profession with its own language, is one of his highest values.
With his colleague Laurie Coburn, they have developed and together manage Luminnate to help chiropractors and teams to have a greater impact on the health and vitality of humanity.

Laurie was honoured to be awarded the 2024 UCA Chiropractic Assistant of the Year and is part of the dynamic force transforming how teams deliver exceptional Chiropractic care through Luminnate.
As a graduate of MGA Academy of Performing Arts and former professional singer, she brings stage presence and precision to Practice Management like no one else.
Starting as a Chiropractic Assistant many years ago, Laurie now leads teams across two thriving locations while teaching and coaching CAs, Teams and Chiropractors.
Her philosophy? “If Chiropractic is the masterpiece, then The Team is the frame.”
As co-creator of Luminnate, alongside Dr Donald Francis, Laurie aims to revolutionise Chiropractic education through Personal Development, Culture Creation and Practice Management training. Her mission: nurturing thriving Chiropractors to amplify Chiropractic’s impact on humanity.
